Workers’ quarters, three longhouses placed under EMCO

KUCHING (June 19): Four localities in Bintulu, Sri Aman and Saratok have been placed under the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO), said State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC).

In a statement today, SDMC said two localities in Bintulu namely the Mile 5 Chicwan Workers Quarters and Rh Peter Suring, Sg Silas Tabau at Jalan Ulu Sebauh were placed under EMCO from June 18 to July 1.

The locality at Rh Inchang, Skirau Ai, Tanjung Bijat in Sri Aman is under EMCO from June 19 to July 2.

“Rh Legi Lubok Kawi, Kabo in Saratok will be under EMCO from June 20 to July 3,” the committee said.

The committee also announced that EMCO will be extended for Rh Tuntun Kampung Seduku Ili, Lingga in Sri Aman (from June 19 to July 2) and Rh Robert, Sg Merudu in Sarikei (from June 21 to 22).

Meanwhile, the committee declared an end to the EMCO yesterday for the Palm Oil Mill Sdn Bhd Workers Quarters in Sebauh, GSS Port workers quarters in Samalaju, Bintulu, and Rh Ujan in Nanga Spaya, Ulu Engkari in Lubok Antu.

The EMCO also came to an end today for Rh Ulin, Teberu, Spaoh in Betong; Rh Clement Bayang, KM30 Jalan Bintulu-Tatau in Bintulu; Rh Setinggan Mile 6 in Bintulu; Rh Bruen, Kampung Banting in Sri Aman, Rh Bair Mam, Km 28 Jalan Samarakan in Tatau; Block A, B, C, E, F, J, K, L, M, N and P at RPR Bandaria Park in Bintulu; and Rh Jelia Jelema, Sangan in Tatau.

The EMCO at Rh Philip Janting, ulu Bejawai Sangkong in Julau will end tomorrow.
