Quiche, bread, and most of their pastries get sold out very quickly at Bakerry La and it’s not difficult to see why. Everything here is just so fresh and tasty! Would highly recommend.

2. Orito KL

Having just recently opened, Orito has already gained quite a lot of attention online. They make and serve a variety of freshly baked pastries and bread, such as chocolate with hazelnut brioche and bomboloni with five different fillings.

As you enter Yin’s Sourdough, you’ll be greeted with one of the best smells ever – warm, fresh bread from the oven. Other than tasty pastries and bread (the curry puff pastry is BOMB!), you can also find pretty decent meals for under RM20.

4. Kenny Hills Bakers

Kenny Hills Bakers started off as a tiny bakery and cafe and has now gained a reputation for serving some of the yummiest pastries, bread, and cakes in Klang Valley.

They have everything from croissants and pain au chocolat to canelé, pies, and quiches. I just found out that they also have scones with clotted cream. Yum.

5. Park’s Bagels

This new spot in PJ which opened earlier this year is a bagel haven! You can select and pair one of their different flavoured bagels with any of their cream cheese spreads, ranging from earl grey to olive and spring onion.

The texture of the bagels is said to have the perfect balance of chewiness and crispiness. Plus, they’re super generous with their spreads!

Although most of their pastries and cakes are yummy, our SAYS Makan editor recommends Good Ground Bakery‘s banana bread and quiche. Others have also raved about their sea salt brownies and croissants. Definitely worth checking out.

This cosy bakery is well-known for their decadent desserts and bread! Some of these include their Pandan Gula Melaka cake, lemon loaves, Victoria sandwich, and bomboloni. Many reviewed that their ambience also makes it a great place for tea.

Bread is great but fresh bread is like a warm hug for the tummy. This German-run bakery in TTDI has a great selection of bread baked fresh daily.

They also offer pastries such as chocolate croissants, apple strudel, along with custard, apple, and cherry danishes, among others.

Carbs are everything. This quaint French bakery in Publika and Tropicana Gardens Mall is said to serve some of the best pastries, baguettes, and croissants that look just as good as they taste.

With French music playing in the background coupled with great food, some say you’ll get a little taste of France right here in KL.

Sun Moulin bakes some of the fluffiest loaves you’ll ever eat and I love it. They’re also known for their large choux puffs with rich custard fillings (although I personally prefer the ones from Lavender slightly more).

They have outlets in:

12. PAUL Bakery

If you have a hankering for good quality pastries and desserts, check out this French-owned bakery and patisserie in Pavilion KL.

PAUL Bakery offers lemon tarts, eclairs, and other high-tea treats that are simply scrumptious.

If you love your sourdough, several recommend Smith – Breadsmith & Cafe‘s selection. All of their sourdough bread is baked in a wood-fired oven. They even have a Spice Sourdough bread featuring a warm, cinnamon scent that is perfect for the holidays!
