In a road accident earlier Saturday, 6 February, three people died in Tuaran, Sabah, after a three-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle, a Perodua Kancil, and a Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) truck
According to a report in Sinar Harian, the accident happened at 8am at Jalan Marabahai, Tuaran.
Of the victims, two were on the motorcycle, a Yamaha Ego S. They were identified as 27-year-old Denylee Sapiun and 37-year-old Ilyasa Samsudin.
The third victim, Shamsully Adly, aged 45, was driving the Perodua Kancil.
The driver of the ATM truck and seven soldiers in it did not suffer any serious injuries.

The impact of the crash, as seen in photos and videos circulating on social media, shows that the Perodua Kancil’s front portion was trapped under wheels of the ATM truck.

It took fire brigade over half an hour to remove the driver of the Perodua Kancil, according to Head of Fire and Rescue Station Tuaran Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) Chief Abdul Qawie Abdul Gapar.
