KOTA KINABALU: Two villages in Kunak will be placed under the enhanced movement control order (EMCO) from June 24 until July 7.
They are Kampung Pangi Hujung and Kampung JKR Lama due to high positivity rates and a spike in Covid-19 cases.
Senior minister for security Datuk Ismail Sabri Yaakob said 11 of 16 tests returned positive Kampung Pangi Hujung while in Kampung JKR Lama, there were 15 positive cases.
Meanwhile, the EMCO at Kampung Kebayau in Kota Belud will be extended until July 7.
Ismail in a statement on Tuesday added that EMCO at Taman Perdana in Lahad Datu, Sabah ended on Wednesday as scheduled.
The EMCOs at Kampung Sungai Obar, Batu 7 and Fasa 9B Taman Indah Jaya in Sandakan; Kampung Sin San and Kampung Singgahmata in Kudat, would end on Wednesday.
