Tiong: Seek help if facing difficulty in registering for Covid-19 vaccination through MySejahtera

Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing

BINTULU (July 1): Anyone who is facing difficulty in registering for Covid-19 vaccination through the MySejahtera application can seek help from the staff at Bintulu Parliamentary Service Centre, said Bintulu MP Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing.

“For example, those who were born in a longhouse in the state but do not have identification documents or those who have not received their MyKad because they were adopted or those who were given a location which is not logical for vaccination, they can contact the service centre for assistance.

“Maybe these groups have not met the targeted criteria for the current vaccination, but due to the pandemic, anyone must be classified as a beneficiary group for the vaccination programme to achieve herd immunity,” he explained.

Tiong said his service centre will collect all the individuals’ information and forward the application to the Bintulu Health Office to enable a discussion to be conducted on the suitable vaccination programme to ensure all walks of life would be vaccinated against Covid-19.

“The National Covid-19 Immunisation programme is a way to effectively expedite the National Recovery Plan. The only way to guarantee the health of the people is by ensuring all individuals have the immunity against Covid-19 infection,” he added.

He thus urged the relevant authorities to be more flexible in vaccination procedures to prevent any groups from being left out due to human error.

Tiong said in order to flatten the curve of Covid-19 infection in Bintulu to the lowest level possible, the public must continue giving their full cooperation and be more responsible including register for vaccination and comply with the existing standard operating procedures.
