Are you spring cleaning your home or office? Instead of heading to a recycling centre, there’s a free service that will come to you and collect any recyclable items.
In a viral Twitter thread on 3 February, Neyra Shazeyra shared that it was her second time using Trash4Cash, a free app that will send a truck to collect the items for you.

The first time she used the service, she got rid of 125kg worth of trash.
This time around, she was able to get rid of 73kg worth of trash, including plastics, scrap papers, electronic waste, among other items
Users are encouraged to separate the items beforehand. The prices for each item are stated on the app.
The service also collects other items like glass bottles, cardboard, used oil, and cans.
Once the items have been collected, you will receive the payment straight to your bank account
Neyra shared a tip to avoid mixing colourful and black and white papers together if possible because they will pay you more for black and white ones.
The price for mixed paper is 15sen/kg while the black and white paper is 35sen/kg.
The service is currently only available in certain areas of Malaysia, such as Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Selangor, Perak, Penang, Perlis, and Kedah.
