These Are The Phones WhatsApp Will Stop Working On Starting 1 November

WhatsApp, the number one free messaging application, has announced they will no longer support certain phones starting 1 November

According to The Sun, the change will affect millions of users worldwide, and will leave users on certain models without access to their messages, photos, videos, or media of any kind left inside the application.

43 models will be affected, mainly phones released from before 2013

The affected phones are:

SAMSUNG

– Galaxy Trend Lite

– Galaxy Trend II

– Galaxy SII

– Galaxy S3 Mini

– Galaxy Xcover 2

– Galaxy Core

– Galaxy Ace 2

APPLE

– iPhone SE (First Generation)

– iPhone 6s

– iPhone 6s Plus

Unless updated to iOS 10 and above before 1 November.

LG

– Lucid 2

– Enact

– Optimus L2 II

– Optimus F3

– Optimus F3Q

– Optimus L3 II

– Optimus L3 II Dual

– Optimus L4 II

– Optimus L4 II Dual

– Optimus F5

– Optimus L5

– Optimus L5 II

– Optimus L5 Dual

– Optimus F6

– Optimus F7

– Optimus L7

– Optimus L7 II

– Optimus L7 II Dual

– Optimus Nitro HD

– Optimus 4X HD

A few other miscellaneous phones will also be discontinued

They are the Alcatel One Touch Evo 7, Archos 53 Platinum, HTC Desire 500, Caterpillar Cat B15, Wiko Cink Five, Wiko Darknight, Lenovo A820, UMi X2, Faea F1, and the THL W8.

If you see your phone on the list, then perhaps it’s time to get a new one!
