Tucked away in one of KL’s older apartments in Kampung Attap, is a cosy little cafe where you can unwind and forget about your worries for awhile
Much like its name, as you step into Pause cafe, it’s like you’re taking a moment to enter someone’s quaint home – away from the noise and cares of the world.
The small cafe is decked with minimal interior, retaining some of the apartment’s nostalgic elements with an added clean look. Simple yet welcoming.
Matching its ambience, the menu includes Asian comfort food, such as kimchi pork belly rice, smoked duck garlic cream pasta, pork lard noodles, and kam heong lala pasta
Everything just looks so tasty. Prices for each meal are between RM13 and RM24.
Along with coffee, the cafe offers desserts like burnt cheesecake, houjicha tiramisu, and its homemade watermelon cake.
Ask the waiters for their secret drink that’s not included on the menu. It’s called the ‘YinYang TaiChi’ and it’s a combination of red tea and espresso served in a Chinese tea cup.
Other unique offerings are its beverages served in draught beer glasses, but they do not actually contain any alcohol
One of its signatures, called ‘Stout Alike’, is made of four espresso shots and a hint of Gula Melaka. Another is the ‘Sober Tonic’, espresso mixed with tonic water and house citrus juice.
