SDMC: Two workers quarters in Bintulu among three localities placed under EMCO

KUCHING (June 16): Three localities including two workers quarters in Bintulu have been placed under the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) for two weeks, said the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC).

It said in its Covid-19 daily update that the Semai Mekar Plantation Workers Quarters and GSS Port Quarters in Samalaju were placed under EMCO since yesterday and will continue until June 28.

“Kampung Serikin in Bau has also been placed under EMCO which will run from tomorrow (June 17) until June 30,” it added.

The committee also announced the end of EMCOs for 11 localities of which nine were lifted today.

They are Kampung Hulu Tambak in Betong; Rh Tajai, Nanga Sebiro, Balleh, Rh Nyamuk, Sg Serau, Sg Gaat, Rh Laso, Nanga Entawau, Balleh, and Rh Rentap, Nanga Entawau, Balleh in Bukit Mabong; Rh Empawie, Sungai Yong and Rh Ngelai Sungai Tisa, Sg Yong in Kapit; Rh Setia, Sembayang and Rh Senah, Sembayang Ban in Sri Aman.

“The EMCO for Rh Sebastian Ngalang, Batu 6, Jalan Oya in Sibu will end tomorrow (June 17) whereas Rh Jalin, Sungai Masit in Julau will have its EMCO lifted on June 18.
