SDMC: 7 localities to be put under EMCO

Seven localities in Sarawak to be put under EMCO from tomorrow and June 19.

KUCHING (June 17): Four localities in Betong, Simunjan, Sibu and Kanowit will be enforced with the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) from tomorrow and June 19.

State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said Rh Dana, Ng Tebalau in Betong and Kampung Munggu Sabun in Simunjan will be placed under the EMCO from June 18 to July 1.

“EMCO will also be enforced at Rh Empauk manggi, Pulau Dudong in Sibu and Rh Kubu, Nanga Tada in Kanowit from June 19 to July 2,” said SDMC in its daily update.

SDMC said three other localities in Pakan and Bintulu had been placed under the EMCO from today.

They were Rh Empi, Tanjong Lelengau in Pakan until July 3, Shem Lee Workers’ Quarters and Kemena Holdings Worker’s Quarters, Jalan Baru Tatau-Bintulu, both in Bintulu and until June 30.

SDMC said the EMCO will be lifted from Rh Sigah Lak, Sg Baoh Burak in Dalat tomorrow.

It said the enforcement of EMCO at six other localities in Bintulu, Sarikei, Sri Aman and Tatau would end today.

They are Setinggan Kampung Pisang, Jalan Samalaju in Bintulu, Rh Garai, Sungai Minus Jakar in Sarikei, Lepang Sayat, Engkilili, in Sri Aman, Woodman Plantation Sdn Bhd Workers’ Quarters, Semanok Estate in Tatau, Kem Gabong Trading Workers’ Quarters in Tatau, and Rh Abong Madang @ Medan, Nanga Tekalit in Tatau.

SDMC said the EMCO had been lifted from five other localities in Bintulu and Sebauh on Tuesday.

They were Rh Mabong Juwat and Rh Albert Mejang, Sg Stam
Rasan, Tubau in Sebauh as well as in Bintulu – Rh Mujah Atin, Batu 12, Jalan Bintulu-Miri; the rent unit on top of My Rojak Shop, Medan Assyakirin; and Rh Asim Anyi, Batu 12, Jalan Bintulu-Miri.
