SDMC: 5 more longhouses among 7 localities in S’wak under EMCO

KUCHING (June 9): The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) has placed seven locations in four districts under the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO).

It said in its Covid-19 daily update that the Malaysia WCT Construction Sdn Bhd workers quarters and Rh Bair Anak Mam, KM28 Jalan Samarakan in Tatau have been under EMCO June 5 to 18 and June 6 to 19 respectively.

“Three longhouses in Pakan namely Rh Ranggie, Nanga Bekakap, Rh Ubil, Babai and Rh Ko, Genega have been placed under EMCO from yesterday (June 8) until June 24 while a longhouse in Sarikei namely Rh Sigi, Sg Sentebu Sare will be under the EMCO from today (June 9) until June 25,” it said.

It added that Kampung Sinar Bumi Baru here will start its two-week EMCO from tomorrow (June 10) until June 23.

It also said that the EMCO for two longhouses in Sri Aman have been extended from June 8 to 21.

They are Rh Kelly Kumpang Langgir and Rh Banying Kumpang Langgir in Engkilili.

Meanwhile, SDMC also announced the end of EMCOs for eight locations.

It said the EMCO for Harwood Timber Sdn Bhd workers quarters in Bintulu had ended on June 7 while Rh Isa anak Blone in Tanjung Manis; Sungai Plan in Bintulu; Borneo Shipping & Timber Agencies Sdn Bhd workers quarters; Rh Samanggat anak Bubon, Ng Dia, Sangan in Tatau; Sewa Leader Garage (Rh Sewa Abu) in Bintulu; The Tulu, Bintulu Sentral in Bintulu; and Samalaju Executive Lodge Block W5, Press Metal Bintulu Sdn Bhd have ended their EMCO yesterday (June 8).
