Sabah expected to move to phase two July 10

KOTA KINABALU: Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Khairy Jamaluddin has approved one million doses of vaccine for Sabah.

Sabah Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Masidi Manjun said the approval will help the state to enter phase two of the National Recovery Plan, which allows for increased economic and social activities as well as longer opening hours for eateries.

“Thank you Khairy, MOSTI minister for approving an increase in Sabah’s vaccines quota for July to 1 million doses, an addition of about 300k doses.

“We have been asking for an equitable share of the vaccines to enable Sabah to qualify for phase two of the recovery plan,” Masidi said in his Twitter post on Wednesday.

Sabah is expected to join six other states in moving to phase two on July 10.
