These old-school fast food joints are designed to be easily identified from afar. You just have to look out for large signs bearing their famous logo, as well as their unmistakable red-and-white-striped exterior.

Similarly, our very own retro Kepci branch has a gigantic KFC bucket resting above the front entrance

The trademark cardboard bucket was invented in 1957 by Pete Harman. Soon after, large revolving bucket signs could be spotted outside many KFC outlets in America during the 1970s.

In recent years, their iconic bucket signs have made a comeback. However, the image of Colonel Sanders, the founder of KFC, has a more stylised, monochromatic design.

The oversized bucket on our local Kepci outlet even lights up at night.

Just like old-school American diners, the Klang outlet is open 24 hours, and it even has a drive-thru reminiscent of popular fast-food joints in the past

Once you step inside, you’ll be transported back in time to the classic retro era of red cushion booths, shiny interiors, and dazzling neon signs
