Malaysia Inches Closes To 7K Mark After Recording 6,976 New COVID-19 Cases In A Day

A total of 6,976 new COVID-19 cases were reported today, 23 May

Today’s reported numbers mark the highest number of daily infection, surpassing 6,806 cases that the Ministry of Health 9MOH) had detected on Thursday, 20 May.

This also marks the fifth consecutive day of the country detecting over 6,000 cases in a single day.

Of which, 2,235 were reported by Selangor alone

The state continues to report the highest number of daily cases.

Sarawak, meanwhile, reported 663 cases, Kelantan reported 626, and Johor reported 549 cases.
