KUCHING (June 18): Covid-19 yellow zones in Sarawak are now down to six districts, as Limbang is now declared a green zone, said the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC).
In a statement today, SDMC said Limbang is the only district declared as green zone as there were no local infection cases recorded in the last 14 days.
“Currently, the yellow zones are Simunjan, Saratok, Pusa, Belaga, Lawas and Daro,” the committee said.
Meanwhile, the red zones in the state is now at 31 districts as Tebedu changed from orange to red after recording 52 cases in the past two weeks.
Aside from Tebedu, the other red zone districts are Matu, Julau, Lundu, Telang Usan, Song, Sebauh, Kabng, Dalat, Bau, Meradong, Lubok Antu, Beluru, Asajaya, Tanjung Manis, Tatau, Bukit Mabong, Sri Aman, Pakan, Kanowit, Selangau, Subis, Mukah, Sarikei, Samarahan, Serian, Kuching, Kapit, Bintulu, Miri and Sibu.
Marudi and Betong districts remain as orange zones.
The Ministry of Health (MOH) categorises a district as green zone should there are no Covid-19 cases recorded over a 14-day period – one to 20 local transmission cases as yellow; 21 to 40 as orange, and 41 and above as red zone.
