KUCHING (June 30): A new feature has been introduced in the MySejahtera app to facilitate the vaccination applications for students going overseas, said National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme Coordinating Minister Khairy Jamaluddin.
“This new feature, which was made available on June 28, can be accessed in the Helpdesk section. This will ease the process of vaccinations for students who have to be vaccinated before they are allowed to enter other countries for their studies.
“Their applications will be processed within 10 days and status can be checked in the app itself,” he said during the Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF) weekly press conference today.
Khairy said students would have to attach their relevant documents, which usually include enrolment confirmation issued by the foreign universities that they are heading to.
“The same documents must also be brought along to the vaccination centre (PPV),” he added.
For applications other than education purpose such as work or medical travel, it would still have to be done by email to [email protected].
Meanwhile, Khairy said Malaysia will receive one million doses of AstraZeneca (AZ) vaccine donated by Japan on Thursday.
The country will also receive another one million doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine donated by the United States on Friday, he added.
“These additional supplies of vaccines will help ramp up the efforts of the national immunisation programme,” he said.
Also present during the press conference was Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba.
