Hospital in Klang seeks public help to identify female patient

KUCHING (June 13): The Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Klang, Selangor is looking for next-of-kin of a patient, who is currently placed at its psychiatric ward.

According to hospital spokesman, the patient was brought in on May 24 by the police, who found loitering in the Klang area without any identification.

“She could neither provide any information about herself nor her family members.

“Throughout her stay in the ward, she has yet to receive any visitor,” said the spokesman.

However, doctors believed that the patient might be a Sarawakian, as based on an interview conducted, she mentioned several places in the state such as Serian, Sebuyau and Tabuan.

“Nonetheless, whenever we ask what her name is, her answer always changes – sometimes it’s ‘Jamayee’; at times, she says it’s ‘Rafisah’,” the spokesman added.

Those who may recognise the patient are urged to contact the hospital’s Medical Social Work Department officer Naomi Anne Masilamany via 03-3375 6183 / 03-3375 7000 extension 1190.
