SIBU (June 23): Covid-19 vaccine recipients who have been scheduled to receive their jab at Rejang Medical Centre (RMC) here are told to go to their new vaccination centre (PPV) at Sibu Civic Centre.
This is in view that some vaccine recipients still went to RMC at Jalan Dr Wong Soon Kai despite the change in venue.
“Please come to the new PPV at Sibu Civic Centre,” RMC general manager Anne Lau said as quoted by Sibu Information Department.
Lau advised all MySejahtera users to be alert on their vaccination appointment and location schedule.
On a similar matter, she said that Sibu Civic Centre PPV which commenced operation on Monday was able to accommodate 1,000 people per day, and the vaccination process administered by RMC frontliners and assisted by volunteers went smoothly so far.
Meanwhile, one of the vaccine recipients, Jaya Salleh, 48, told the Sibu Information Department that he was glad to be able to receive his jab yesterday.
He was at first worried about the injection but changed his mind at the last minute after seeing many of his friends get vaccinated.
“I am sure the vaccine will not cause any harm,” he said and advised others to get rid of their fear and receive their vaccine.
With Jaya to receive the vaccine at Sibu Civic Centre PPV yesterday was his family member Hayati Suhaili, 41.
