Covid-19: Sarawak’s new cases spike to 472 as country records new record high of 11,079 today – Health DG

KUCHING (July 13) : Malaysia registered a new record high of 11,079 Covid-19 cases today with 472 cases coming from Sarawak, according to figures released by Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

In a Facebook post, Dr Noor Hisham said Selangor continued to lead the country with 5,263 new cases today, followed by Kuala Lumpur 1,521 cases and Negeri Sembilan with 1,033 cases.

Kedah had 497 new cases, followed by Sarawak (472), Johor (406), Perak (329), Melaka (323), Pahang (321), Sabah (239) and Penang.

Terengganu, Putrajaya and Labuan registered double digit cases of 93, 77 and 60 respectively while no new cases were reported in Perlis today.

Following the 11,079 new cases today, Malaysia now has cumulative positive cases of 855,949.
