Covid-19: 409 new cases in Sarawak as Malaysia records 5,218 cases

KUCHING (June 28): Sarawak reported a drop in new Covid-19 positive cases today with 409 cases compared to yesterday’s 513 cases.

Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah in a Facebook post said the state’s latest figure brought its cumulative number of cases to 64,233.

The drop in new cases also resulted in Sarawak now no longer the top three states with the highest number of cases.

With Malaysia recording 5,218 new cases today, Selangor continued to top the list with 1,989 cases. This is followed by Negeri Sembilan and Kuala Lumpur with 629 and 469 cases respectively.

New cases were also recorded in Perak with 400 cases, Sabah (258), Johor (243), Perak (229), Kedah (194), Melaka (183), Pahang (111), Labuan (108), Kelantan (101), Penang (88), Terengganu (23), Putrajaya (8) and Perlis (5).

The cumulative total of positive cases in the country now stands at 739,266 cases.
