Fire and rescue personnel carrying out investigation after a Civil Defence Force truck was destroyed in the fire along Jalan Ranau/Kundasang.
KOTA KINABALU: A Civil Defence Force truck was destroyed in a fire along Kilometer 5, Jalan Ranau/Kundasang on Monday evening.
Ranau fire and rescue chief of operation Mastin Suli said two fire and rescue teams were dispatched to the location upon receiving a distress call at 8.20pm.
Meanwhile, a family in Membakut lost their home in a fire at Kampung Limpayau Membakut early yesterday morning.
Kimanis fire and rescue chief of operation Ag Azman said a team was dispatched to the location upon receiving a distress call at 12.11am.
The fire completely destroyed the wooden house while fire and rescue personnel managed to control the fire by 12.52am.
In another accident, a 40-year-old man sustained injuries when his Proton Wira car rammed into the rear of a trailer truck along Kilometer 5, Jalan Kunak on Monday.
Kunak fire and rescue chief of operation Abdul Rasah Kaluang said six fire and rescue personnel were dispatched to the location upon receiving a distress call of the incident at 9.03pm.
Fire and rescue personnel managed to free the driver of the Proton Wira car who was pinned at the driver’s seat, said Abdul Rasah.
The victim was taken to the Kunak hospital.
