A staff of Nike outlet on the first floor of the Sunway Pyramid Mall, Selangor, has tested positive for COVID-19 today, 26 September
According to a statement, the Sunway Pyramid management said that they were made aware of the COVID-19 positive case involving the Nike staff, who had a travelling history.
Sunway Pyramid, however, assured that it was an isolated case.
“We would like to assure all tenants, vendors, and customers that the case is an isolated case and has been attended to immediately upon identification, together with the affected tenant in full compliance with the Ministry of Health (MOH) guidelines,” read the statement without providing the patient’s travel history.
Those who had close contact with the affected person have been contacted and ordered to do screening and undergo self-quarantine
“The case is well managed and under control due to the swift actions taken by the tenant together with the authorities,” it said, adding that the mall has “immediately carried out and completed deep cleaning”.
“We have also been working closely with the affected tenant to coordinate holistically the completion of deep sanitisation work, as well as securing timely, and accurate updates to address the matter effectively and efficiently.”
Sunway Pyramid said that it encourages all visitors, tenants, and “our communities to remain calm and vigilant during this time”
“The mall and its personnel have been trained to apply the highest standards and protocol for hygiene and sanitation in accordance with the MOH safety and health guidelines on COVID-19,” the statement said.”
