Sarawak Energy calling on customers to sign up for e-Billing service

Sarawak Energy has launched its e-Billing service since early of the year.

KUCHING (Aug 25): Sarawak Energy is encouraging its customers to subscribe to its e-Billing service that was introduced earlier this year as part of its digitalisation and environmental sustainability efforts.

Customers who subscribe to Sarawak Energy’s e-Billing service will receive a RM2 rebate in their monthly electricity bills for 12 months, effective from the billing period after the registration.

“Upon registration, customers will receive their monthly electricity bill via their registered email addresses and will no longer receive physical bills,” said the state-owned utility company in a statement.

To register, customers are required to provide their name, registered contract account number with Sarawak Energy, e-mail address and mobile phone number.

Customers can call 1-300-88-311 or email [email protected] to register for the service.

Alternatively, customers can perform self-registration via the ‘SEB cares’ mobile application (available in App Store and Google Play) or website at www.sarawakenergy.com

“If the customers have completed two doses of Covid-19 vaccination, they can also approach the nearest Sarawak Energy customer service counters,” said the company.

General Manager (Retail) for Sarawak Energy’s utility arm, Syarikat Sesco Berhad, Ng Shou Fui said about 50,000 customers have subscribed since the e-Bill’s introduction early this year.

The utility company targets the number to reach 100,000 by the end of this year through numerous promotional campaigns, including lucky draws for all e-Bill subscribers.

“We have decided to launch a lucky draw campaign with very attractive prizes to show our appreciation to our digital e-Bill customers who are also contributing towards our efforts in environmental sustainability,” said Ng.

She said all subscribers of e-Bill stand a chance to win cash rebate in each lucky draw session which will be held each quarter.

“To enter this lucky draw campaign, customers are only required to sign-up for e-Bill and remain subscribed throughout the Go Paperless campaign period, which is held until Dec 31, 2021,” continued Ng.

Winners of each lucky draw will be announced on Sarawak Energy’s website and the cash rebate shall be credited to their Sarawak Energy contract account.

Those who have won in the previous lucky draw sessions are still eligible to participate in the next round of the lucky draw.

For more information, customers can contact the Customer Care Centre via its 24-hour hotline at 1300-88-3111 or e-mail to [email protected]
