“11 of these compounds were issued to individuals who failed to practise physical distancing while 10 were for ferrying passengers beyond the allowed number,” said SDMC in its daily update today.

SDMC said this brought the cumulative number of compounds issued by the police in Sarawak since March 18 last year to 8,810.

At the local authorities level, it said 10 compounds were issued statewide to those caught not complying with the SOP.

Of the total, Bintulu Development Authority issued the most compounds at four followed by Bau District Council (3), Sarikei District Council (2) and Kota Samarahan Municipal Council (1).
