45 Covid-19 clusters declared in Sarawak since start of 2021, says Uggah

KUCHING (March 20): A total of 45 Covid-19 clusters in Sarawak have been declared by the State Health Department this year, said Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas.

Out of the total number of clusters, the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) chairman said there are 35 clusters that are currently active.

“Some 64,046 individuals have undergone Covid-19 swab tests, and 5,783 of them were found positive and 57, 001 tested negative for the second swab test.

“Meanwhile, there are 1,262 individuals still awaiting their respective lab test results, ” he said at a Covid-19 update press conference here today.
