He said the cumulative cases of the Ocean Blue Cluster had increased to 157 cases out of the 185 crewmen on KD Mahawangsa navy ship.

Three new clusters were also reported on Sunday.

Masidi said Eioz Selatan Cluster, involving Kota Kinabalu, Tuaran and Penampang, was transmitted in the workplace of Servay Express Warehouse in Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park (KKIP) South here.

He said most positive cases consisted of employees from Kota Kinabalu, Penampang and Tuaran, and the virus had spread to their family members.

“The index case is a 23-year-old male general worker, who lives at Taman Sri Rugading, Tuaran, who tested positive for Covid-19 on June 3, after experiencing symptoms of the virus since May 31 in Tuaran Hospital.”

Close contact screening on 40 co-workers and family members detected another nine positive cases, which brings the cumulative cases to 10, including seven in Kota Kinabalu, two in Tuaran and one in Penampang.

The second cluster, dubbed Kg Kebayau cluster, was linked to a burial ceremony at the village on May 26.

Masidi said the index case was a 26-year-old house builder who had fever, cough, sore throat and lost his sense of taste and smell since May 30, before he was confirmed to have contracted Covid-19 on June 3.

He said 112 individuals have undergone Covid-19 tests under this cluster, 27 of whom were positive, eight still awaiting results and the rest were negative.

“The positive cases under this cluster consist of 23 cases in Kota Belud and four cases in Keningau.”

Masidi said the third cluster was Jalan Agaseh Cluster in Lahad Datu, which was transmitted at the workplace of an electric engineering company.

The cluster recorded three new cases, which brought the cumulative positive cases to 15.

He added that the index case was a 64-year-old woman who tested positive for Covid-19 on June 9 at Lahad Datu Health Clinic.

He said 51 close contacts have been tested for Covid-19, 14 of whom were positive while 36 were negative in the first screening.
