SRI AMAN (June 29): A second driver and a passenger of an express bus were rushed to Sri Aman Hospital after being involved in an accident at KM25 of the Sri Aman-Kuching road today.
Sarawak Traffic Investigation and Enforcement chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu said the accident happened when the bus was traveling from Miri to Kuching at around 6.40 am.
“Upon arrival at the scene, the driver of the bus was believed to have lost control, causing the vehicle to skid and crashed into the road barrier before it fell and overturned.
“The passenger and second driver who were rushed to Sri Aman Hospital received treatment as outpatients,” he said in a statement today.
The driver of the express bus and five other passengers, including four Indonesians who travelled in the bus were not injured.
The Indonesians were on their way back to their country of origin via Tebedu and Biawak,
“The four Indonesians each has a travel permit,” he said.
