Her post quickly went viral and caught the attention of thousands of netizens.

Su told SAYS that a representative of the company visited their home last night, 16 June

She said, “They came around 8.30pm and handed over a replacement phone. They told me that the device I had was an older model. This is their latest model.”

Checks by SAYS found that the new model offered to the family is the Yes Altitude 4. It offers better specs compared to the device that caught on fire, which was the Yes Altitude 3.

However, still traumatised by the recent incident, Su noted, “Even though we got a new one, we do not dare to use it yet. We’re scared that the same incident will happen again.”
