As reported earlier today, Xiaomi recently teased a new smartwatch that is slated to be released in Malaysia soon. Surprisingly enough, the brand has decided to unveil the new device entirely ahead of the date revealed in the teaser. And as expected, the new wearable is indeed the Mi Watch Lite.
Just in case you missed our earlier article, here’s a quick recap of the upcoming smartwatch. The Mi Watch Lite sports a square 1.4-inch LCD display with 320 x 320 resolution, is rated 5ATM for water resistance, and features a 230mAh battery that is capable of lasting up to 9 days on a full charge.
Feature-wise, the wearable is equipped with built-in GPS, air pressure and altitude function, heart rate monitoring and sleep tracking. There are a total of 11 different workout modes including for swimming, cycling, running and so on. It will be offered in 5 colour options including black, blue, green, white and pink, and its strap is customisable as well.
Xiaomi reveals that the Mi Watch Lite will arrive in Malaysia on 20 December 2020. It is set to retail at RM249 and sold via the brand’s official store on Lazada, as well as all authorised Mi Stores and distributors. In conjunction with the upcoming launch, the watch will be available for online pre-orders on Lazada for one day only on 17 December at a special promotional price of RM199. The brand notes that pre-orders are limited and are on a first-come-first-serve basis only.
