KUCHING (June 21): The Covid-19 vaccination centre (PPV) at Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) does not accept walk-ins for the purpose of Covid-19 vaccination.

In a statement today, Unimas said the PPV only accepts individuals who have a vaccination appointment slot on the day through MySejahtera.

“As such, those who try to walk-in to the centre for vaccination will not be entertained,” said the university.

The statement was issued to dismiss a viral message which had asked people to be on standby at Unimas PPV for Covid-19 vaccination.

Unimas also advised individuals from the industrial sector not to try their luck by doing the same.

According to Unimas, some company managers have come to the PPV with letters of support in attempts to get their workers vaccinated.

Unimas stressed that such move is also not acceptable given that these workers do not have any vaccination appointments to be given the jab.

It added that the vaccines allocated for a specific day are only meant for those who have been given an appointment slot on that day.
