Two public parks reopen today

KOTA KINABALU: The City Hall is re-opening two public parks today from 6am to 6pm.

Mayor Noorliza Awang Alip said that the two public parks are Taman Ujana Rimba Tropika and Taman Tun Fuad Stephens.

However, entry is limited to 50 people per every two hours.

Visitors will be given a number (upon entry) and they will have to return it at the exit.

Noorliza said that the re-opening was in line with the transition of Sabah into the second phase of the National Recovery Plan.

She said that activities allowed are jogging while tai chi, yoga and aerobic are also permitted but not exceeding 10 people at any one time.

“The recreation parks managed by private entities just like Perdana Park Tanjung Aru are subject to their respective management of the SOP fixed,” she said in the City Hall Facebook official account.

She added that other standard operating procedures include, visitors having to screen their temperature and check in with the MySejahtera app.
