KUCHING (Aug 25): The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) today announced Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) at three more localities, all involving longhouses.
In a statement, SDMC said the three longhouses were Rh Alexander, Bebuling Atas, Sepaoh; Rh Lanyau, Linsom and Rh Mendali, Buyong Bangat, and they will be placed under EMCO starting tomorrow (Aug 26) until Sept 8.
At the same time, the EMCO at Rh Paberi Magelit, Sungai Menok, Lapok, Tinjar in Beluru has been extended to Aug 31. The longhouse has been under EMCO since Aug 10.
Meanwhile, EMCO at four localities have been lifted today. They are at Rh Robert, Nanga Sebatu, Batang Rajang, Kapit; SK Nanga Entuloh, Bukit Mabong; Rh Angut Anding, Ulu Keriok, Niah, Subis; and Rh Sering, Kampung Bangkong, Pantu, Sri Aman.
