A man from Perlis is going viral on Twitter for being able to dine out at a restaurant for the first time in over two months
After being forced to stay at home since the Movement Control Order (MCO) began on 1 June, Twitter user @IzzRaifHarz went all in and showed off photos of himself eating a plate of fried rice outside.
“Salam dine-in from Perlis,” he wrote.
As of writing, his Tweet has gained over 20,000 likes and 15,000 retweets.

Perlis is one of only three states and federal territories in Malaysia to have allowed dine-in so far
The state, along with Sarawak and Labuan, entered Phase 3 of the National Recovery Plan (NRP) effective Wednesday, 4 August, which sees more COVID-19 restrictions lifted.
Taking advantage of the new freedom, the Twitter user said, “Honestly, this is for all the years I’ve heard: ‘You live in Perlis but what do you do? There’s nothing there’.”
However, jokes aside, he said he is really thankful to be able to eat out now.
“Get well soon, Malaysia,” he wished.
honestly this is for all of the years i’ve heard “ko hidup perlis buat apa ja bukan ada apa pun” “rakyat pun 8 orang””perlis dalam kedah eh””gile bosan takde mall”masa macam ni even dine-in pun dah syukur gila walaupun we got nothing else.get well soon Malaysia

Needless to say, envious Malaysians watching from afar have bombarded his Tweet with memes and longing
“This is how people flex in 2021,” said a netizen.
