KUCHING (June 25): Even superheroes need to get their Covid-19 vaccines, as evident by the appearance of Spider-Man at Kozi Square, one of the state-approved vaccination centres.
Fully clad in the iconic attire of Peter Parker’s alter-ego, the recipient came to the vaccination centre earlier today to the surprise and delight of mall staff, medical personnel and other vaccine recipients.
However, with great power comes great responsibility and he rolled up his sleeve to receive the jab.
Kozi Square management posted photos and a video of Spider-Man to their Facebook page but did not reveal his name or identity, carefully preserving the superhero’s identity.
“Have a Funstatic Vaccination at Kozi Square PPV (vaccination centre. Even Spiderman (did) not miss out from the list (as) finally he got his vaccine today (June 25) at Kozi Square. Have fun support Covid-19 Vaccination programme,” stated Kozi Square in their post.
His antics were well-received on Facebook, with some netizens leaving gleeful comments on the post.
“Why is he stranded in Kuching? How is he going back to the US, he received Sinovac instead of Pfizer… Looks like Sarawak will need to host Spider-Man until the US agrees to let him go home,” wrote one netizen.
Spider-Man dropping in to receive his vaccination is set to be a light-hearted highlight amidst the seriousness of the Covid-19 National Immunisation Programme in Sarawak.
