Sarawak cops issue 11 SOP compounds today – SDMC

KUCHING (Sept 25): The Sarawak police today issued 11 compounds for violating the Covid-19 standard operating procedure (SOP), with six issued in Kuching and five in Bintulu.

According to the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), among the SOP violations that were slapped with the compounds were gathering and not observing physical distancing (4); failing to scan MySejahtera/writing personal information before entering premises (4) and loitering in public places past the allowed time (3).

All in all the state police have issued a total of 11,066 compounds for SOP violations since the Movement Control Order was first enforced in March 2020.

No police arrests were made on SOP violations today, and no compounds were issued by the state Local Government and Housing Ministry as well.
