KUCHING (Aug 23): Parti Sarawak Bersatu’s (PSB) potential candidate for Batu Kitang Liu Thian Leong has delivered 100 food aid packs to residents in Mile 10, Penrissen Road here.
Among the essential items inside the food packs were a packet of rice, canned food, noodles and biscuits, said a statement today.
The food aid distribution was part of the PSB Batu Kitang’s ‘Prihatin’ campaign which has been carried out in the Batu Kitang state constituency.
The distribution of the food aid packs, which is on a door-to-door basis, was conducted in strict compliance with the standard operating procedures (SOP) to ensure the safety of all.
In addition, Liu also delivered food aid packs to some households that are being placed under the quarantine order.
These households were situated in Kampung Bumbok, Haji Baki, Kampung Sinar Baru and Kampung Paya Mebi.
Apart from the food aid, Liu also provided a manual hospital bed for bedridden cancer patient Andy Stevelee, who is residing at Kampung Sinar Baru.
Liu hoped that such contributions will help ease the financial burden of the families involved.
