The alleged incident of a woman being robbed inside an ATM vestibule.
KOTA KINABALU: District police chief, assistant commissioner Mohd Zaidi Abdullah confirmed that there has been no snatch incident in the district.
He said this when asked about a minute-long video that has been made viralled showing a woman becoming a snatch victim of a man who was wearing a helmet and armed with a knife inside an auto teller machine (ATM) vestibule which was claimed to be in Damai.
He said that police have not received any report concerning the snatch incident at the banking facility or ATM during the one-week period.
“From police investigation, there are no ATM machine premises that are confined such as that around the city.
“Within the period of one week, we have not received any report of snatch theft, especially at a banking premises or ATM,” he said when contacted on Wednesday.
