KUCHING (March 3): Inter-zone movement is still not allowed in Sarawak, said Deputy Chief Minister and State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) chairman Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas.

“This is as per the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) in the state, which is in implementation until March 15.

“Movement between zones will still need permission from the police,” he told a press conference on Covid-19 updates Wednesday.

The CMCO in the state was extended until 11.59pm on March 15, as announced by SDMC last Friday.

The decision for the CMCO extension was decided upon after SDMC had assessed the situation in Sarawak and found that the number of positive Covid-19 cases is still on the rise.
