MIRI: The response from residents and heads of longhouses and villages in Subis district to the immunisation programme has been very encouraging, as most of them have registered for the programme.

A representative of Sibuti Member of Parliament Lukanisman Awang Sauni, Nazri Ahmad Lai, said based on the manual registration forms received, 70 per cent of the residents supported the programme.

“The grassroots leaders have been carrying out their responsibilities diligently, by disseminating information relating to the immunisation programme; thus allowing residents to have better understanding and give their support by registering for the programme.

“This is not the work of certain individuals only as the encouraging feedback shows that everyone plays their role well,” said Nazri.

He added that it is important to obtain correct and verified information on the immunisation programme, so that one would understand fully the benefits as well as who is eligible for it.
