MIRI (Aug 23): Police have detained three men, including a Filipino, for allegedly stealing two batteries from a lorry parked in front of a house in Taman Tunku here.
The suspects, aged 27, 32, and 45, were arrested at 10.50pm on Saturday (Aug 21) at a house in Jalan Kuching Timur 3, Taman Tunku by a team from the Criminal Investigation Department.

Miri police chief ACP Hakemal Hawari said the arrests came following a report lodged by the 57-year-old lorry driver on Aug 18.
The two batteries are said to cost around RM800.
All three suspects have been remanded to facilitate investigations under Section 379A of the Penal Code for vehicle theft.
The Filipino is also being investigated under Section 6(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63 for entering the country without valid documents.
