KUCHING (Mar 3): A total of 25 Covid-19 clusters remain active in the state with eight recording an increase in the number of cases, said State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) chairman Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas.
He said the Emperoh Jambu Cluster in Kuching recorded the highest increase with 11 cases resulting in the overall cases under the cluster to increase to 182 cases.
“The Jalan Muhibbah Cluster in Betong recorded an additional five cases bringing the total number of cases to 123 while the Jalan Green Cluster in Kuching recorded three cases resulting in a total of 28 cases thus far,” he told a press conference today.
He pointed out that the Sungai Bakong Cluster in Meradong, Kampung Sungai Maong Cluster in Kuching and Gelong Cluster in Kapit registered two new cases each bringing the overall cases for each district to 147, 47 and 186 respectively.
“The Jalan Ho Pin Cluster in Samarahan and Pasai Cluster in Sibu recorded only one case today bringing their total cases to 16 and 2,667 cases respectively,” he said, adding that the Pasai Cluster’s sub-cluster (Tangap, Subis) did not record any new cases.
A total of 17 clusters remain active with no new cases recorded namely the Buloh Cluster in Selangau; Kejatau Cluster in Sri Aman; Jan Yong Cluster in Kapit; Geronggang Cluster in Sibu; Mas Merah Cluster in Sibu; Univista Cluster in Samarahan; Kidurong Dua Cluster in Bintulu; Nanga Lijan Cluster in Julau; Seruas Cluster in Beluru; Sebangkoi Cluster in Sri Aman; Jun Heng Cluster in Bintulu; Bintang Daily Cluster in Meradong; Jalan Pengiran Cluster in Matu; Tabong Cluster in Bau; Indah Riang Cluster in Kuching; Rakut Cluster in Miri; and Jelita Cluster in Miri.
