Eleven localities in S’wak placed under EMCO

KUCHING (Aug 23): Eleven localities in the state have been placed under Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO), said the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) today.

“These include two rented rooms in Bintulu, namely the rented room next to BB Machinery Sdn Bhd and the rented room above Watson Medan Jaya. They are placed under EMCO from August 22 to September 4,” it said in its daily Covid-19 update.

Seven longhouses are also placed under EMCO.

These include Rh. Banyoi, Ulu Sengaih in Julau which is under EMCO from August 21 to September 6; Rh Belayong Anak Buang, KM22 Jalan Bintulu, Tatau in Bintulu from August 22 to September 4; Rh. Julai, Kampung Entawa Wong Padong, Undop in Sri Aman from August 23 to September 5; Rh. Majeng, Kampung Po Ai in Sri Aman from August 23 to September 5; Rh. Rengan Selambong Krian in Saratok and Rh. Seli, Nanga Teru Baroh, Debak in Betong from August 24 to September 6; and Rh. Sia, Entawa, Debak in Betong from August 24 to September 6.

The other localities under EMCO are Kampung Ruan Surik in Simunjan, and Ladang TH Sg. Rasau in Simunjan. Both are under EMCO from August 24 to September 6.

Meanwhile, SDMC announced the end of EMCO for seven localities today.

They are Kampung Tanjung Tuang, Kota Samarahan in Samarahan; Kampung Blau in Simunjan; Rh. Gong Laing, Long Maktub, Tubau in Sebauh; Sung Lee Transportation workers’ quarters, Kemena Industrial Estate in Bintulu; KTS Timber Processing Sdn Bhd workers’ quarters in Bintulu; Kidurong Educational Institution quarters in Bintulu; and Ladang Palmlyn Sdn Bhd workers’ quarters in Mukah.
