Covid-19: 4 deaths, 631 new cases in Sarawak today

KUCHING (June 10): Sarawak today recorded four Covid-19 death cases along with 631 new cases, said the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC).

It said in its Covid-19 daily update that the fatalities, which were recorded in Sibu and Sri Aman districts, brought the state’s death toll to 334.

“The new cases were mostly detected in five districts namely Kuching, Miri, Sri Aman, Sibu and Tatau.

“These districts accounted for 387 or 61.33 per cent of the new cases today,” it said.

Kuching and Miri topped the list with three-digit cases at 105 and 102 respectively.

This is followed by Sri Aman with 71 cases, Sibu (55), Tatau (54), Kapit (37), Subis (36), Bintulu (28), Samarahan (24), Telang Usan (23), Serian (22), Song (19), Lubok Antu (10), Dalat (9), Mukah (9), Bau (5), Asajaya (5), Sebauh (5), Selangau (3), Tanjung Manis (2), Sarikei (2), Julau (1), Lawas (1), Beluru (1), Simunjan (1) and Meradong (1).

Sarawak’s active Covid-19 cases now stands at 53,631.
