KOTA KINABALU: The state government has allowed the organising of blood donation activities during the ongoing total lockdown, said Sabah’s official Covid-19 spokesman Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun.

“The state government has given the Sabah State Transfusion Medical Service permission to carry out all types of blood donation activities, beginning June 3,” said Masidi in his official statement on Friday.

This includes mobile blood donation activities as well as all the fixed blood donation centres in the whole of Sabah.

Separately, Masidi disclosed that cross-district public transport services are not allowed in the state during the total lockdown.

“This includes the operation of express buses,” he said.

He added that express buses are also not allowed to deliver items.

Failure to comply with this standard operating procedure (SOP) may result in the issuance of compounds.
