Alleged NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Appears On Leaked HP Device ID List

Back in November, we first got wind of NVIDIA’s supposed development of a GeForce RTX 3080 Ti as countenance to AMD’s Radeon RX 6900XT. Recently, the alleged existence of the card popped up on a leaked driver device ID list belonging to HP.

The ID list comes by way of LaptopVideo2Go and its mentions more than just the alleged RTX 3080 Ti. Besides the step up to the RTX 3080, the bottom of the shortlist also mentions an unannounced RTX 3060 Max-Q and an RTX 3050. Additionally, there is also a mention of a Quadro T500, indicating that the list isn’t strictly relegated to the consumer products and desktop GPUs. Beyond that, there are no further details about either GPU.

While NVIDIA has yet to officially acknowledge it, the RTX 3080 Ti, when launched, will sit between the current RTX 3080 and RTX 3090. Specs-wise, it is expected to be equipped with GA102-250-KD-A1 Ampere GPU, have 20GB GDDR6X, 10496 CUDA Cores, and a 320-bit memory bus. Further, it is highly possible that the card’s GPU will be based on TSMC’s 7nm die lithography, instead of Samsung’s 8nm dies that are currently in use with all existing GeForce RTX 30 series cards.
