KUCHING (July 12): Two localities involving a workers quarters and a longhouse in Sarawak have been placed under the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) for two weeks, said the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC).
SDMC said the Sime Darby Plantation (Ladang Estate) workers quarters in Bintulu had commenced its EMCO yesterday which will be enforced until July 24.
A longhouse Rh Mulok, Klua Krian in Saratok started its EMCO today and will be enforced until July 25, the committee added in a statement.
SDMC meanwhile said that the EMCO for Rh Lewis, Kampung Batu Besai in Sri Aman has been extended from today until July 19.
The committee also announced the end of EMCO for five localities in five districts.
It said the EMCO for Rh Awang, Sungai Stok in Sarikei; Kampung Tematu in Kuching; Setinggan Pulau Riam, Sangan in Tatau; and Rh Unchie, Nanga Ingu Ili, Kabo in Saratok were lifted today while Rh Catherine Tamoh, Sg Aup in Sibu will end its EMCO tomorrow.
