95 new cases, one more death in Sabah

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah recorded 95 new Covid-19 cases today, with cumulative confirmed infections reaching 53,138, according to Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Masidi Manjun.

Also reported was one fatality in Putatan.

“A total of 94 Covid-19 patients have been discharged or cured from the hospitals making the cumulative total 51,615 cured patients.

“There are also 690 patients receiving treatment, with 253 in the hospitals, 430 in Quarantine and Low-risk Treatment Centres (PKRC) and seven in Temporary Detention Centre (PTS)/ prison.

“The number of Covid-19 patients in the ICU is 31, and 13 patients need ventilation aids,” he said in a press statement today.

Keningau recorded the highest number of daily cases, with 31.

Second highest was Kalabakan (17), followed by Kota Kinabalu (11), Papar (8), Nabawan (5), Sandakan (5), Tawau (5), Kunak (5), Beluran (3), Putatan (2), Penampang (1), Lahad Datu (1) and Semporna (1).
