KUCHING (Aug 26): Twenty-two more localities in Sarawak were put under the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO), the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) announced today.
According to SDMC’s statement, Rh Dunggat Anak Gani, Sg Mas, Jalan Pesisiran Kuala Tatau; Rh Sait Anak Jaya, KM22 Jalan Bintulu-Tatau; and Rumah Layang Anak Kusau, Sg Mas, Jalan Pesisiran Kuala Tatau, all in Bintulu have been put under EMCO from Aug 24 till Sept 6, while rented rooms above Chicwan, Medan Jaya in Bintulu was placed under EMCO from Aug 25 to Sept 7.
In Belaga, Tr Lenjau Lian, Uma Seping Long Bala; Uma Daro, Sungai Asap; Uma Belor, Sungai Asap; Kuarters SMK Bakun; and Simpang Anding Canteen have been palced under EMCO starting today until Sept 8.
In Betong, Rh William, Buloh Antu; Rh Robert Walter, Nanga Gayau, Debak; RhLembang, Inar, Debak; and Rh Legom, Serunggap, Debak would be placed under EMCO starting tomorrow (Aug 27) until Sept 9.
In Sri Aman, Rh Angos and Rh Hilary both in Kampung Nyelam have been placed under EMCO starting today till Sept 8, while in Lubok Antu, Rh Jamit, Pudai started its EMCO today till Sept 8 while Rh Ungkie, Tabau will start tomorrow till Sept 9.
In Tatau, the Tabau Plantation workers’ quarters has been placed under EMCO since Aug 24 until Sept 6 while Rh Ulen Anak Segaya, Ng Tekalit from Aug 25 till Sept 7.
In Sebauh, the SOP Sebungan plantation has been placed under EMCO since Aug 25 until Sept 27.
Meanwhile, five other localities in Betong, Mukah, Samarahan and Pusa will see an extension of their EMCO enforcement until next month.
They are Kampung Bungey, Debak in Betong, Sri Datai Mining Sdn Bhd’s workers’ quarters in Mukah and Kampung Baru in Kota Samarahan from Aug 27 to Sept 9.
The EMCO enforced at Kampung Medang, Spaoh in Betong and Kampung Tuie in Pusa will be extended from Aug 30 to Sept 13 and Sept 1 to 14 respectively.
SDMC said EMCO in nine other localities in Sarikei, Kuching, Bau, Simunjan, Lubok Antu, Bintulu and Belaga will be lifted from today (Aug 26).
They are Rh Munan, Sg Kuap in Sarikei, and in Kuching Kampung Braang Payang, Padawan; Kampung Pulo Hilir and Kampung Pulo Ulu; and Kampung Samariang Batu; Kampung Sega in Bau; Kampung Sg Pinang Baru, Kampung Sg Pinang Sega, Kampung Sg Pinang Lama and Kampung Sg Pinang in Simunjan; Rh Tukang Meringgai, Kampung Ensawang in Lubok Antu; Yuk Juan Transportation Sdn Bhd workers’ quarters in Bintulu; and Uma Balui Liko, Sungai Asap in Belaga.
