KUCHING (June 18): The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) has placed 15 locations in the state, all longhouses, under Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) to curb the spread of Covid-19.
Three are placed under EMCO from June 17 to 30. They are Rh. Marphy, Selanjang Sebemban Asal, Pantu, in Sri Aman; Rh. Kilon, Sebu Ulu, Tanjung Bijat, Sri Aman; and Rh. Jau Dungau, Long Seripa, Tubau, Sebauh.
Nine longhouses in Sungai Rassau, Batang Igan in Matu are placed under EMCO from June 18 to July 1. They are Rh. Salim anak Unang; Rh. Judy anak Kudi; Rh. Mathew anak Merang; Rh. Daggang anak Ujang; Rh. Lait anak Ijang; Rh. Chandi anak Kilau; Rh. Putit anak Jugah; Rh. Sadin anak Jeli; and Rh. Mador anak Rendah.
Two longhouses in Bintangor, Meradong are placed under EMCO from June 18 to July 4. They are Rh. Minggu, Sg. Kotak; and Rh. Masni, Skim B.
Rh. Miskin, Batu 13 1/2, Jalan Oya, in Sibu will be placed under EMCO effective from June 20 to July 3.
SDMC also declared the extension of EMCO to June 24 for two locations, namely the workers’ quarters at Kem Gabong Trading Sdn Bhd, in Tatau; and Rh. Unya Jambu Arap Skrang, in Sri Aman.
Meanwhile, the committee has declared the end of the EMCO for 11 locations in various areas throughout the state.
They are Rh. Morse anak Ungkak, Lubuk Pass Teluk Batu, Tatau; Rh. Michael Junus anak Rekan, Rantau Aur Nanga Tekalit, Tatau; Rh. Chalie anak Mbo, Sungai Sawa, Jalan Ulu Spur, Sebauh; rented house next to MDS Mart, Samalaju, Bintulu; workers’ quarters at Rich Drive, Bintulu; Rh. Jack, Lichok, Seblak Roban, Betong; Rh. Nawin, Sg Oyan, Bukit Mabong; Rh. Tuntun Seduku, Lingga, Sri Aman; and workers’ quarters at Malaysia WCT Construction Sdn Bhd, Tatau.
Two longhouses will also see their EMCO period end on June 20. They are Rh. Anthony Jigu, Sungai Buloh, Selangau; and Rh. Menari, Sungai Durin, Sibu.
