Seven localities in S’wak placed under EMCO

KUCHING (Aug 22): Seven localities in Sarawak have been placed under the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO), the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said.

It said in its Covid-19 daily update that Rh Ding Kun, Long Aie, Urun, Sungai Asap in Belaga and Rumah Ado anak Bilong, Sungai Kakus in Tatau have been imposed with the EMCO since August 20 and will be under the Order until Sept 2.

“In Bintulu, three localities started their two-week EMCO yesterday namely Rumah Layuh anak Muyang at Jalan Ulu Sebauh; the rented room above Daiken Cafe at Tanjung Kidurong; and the rented rooms of workers from Ari-Najah Restaurant.

“The EMCO for these localities will end on September 3,” it said.

SDMC said two localities in Subis have been imposed with the EMCO starting yesterday until September 4.

“They are Rumah Aron anak Libang, Sungai Sebatuk, Skim Rancangan Sepupok at Niah and Saremas 1 Estate, Sawai Land District, 115KM at Jalan Miri-Bintulu,” it said.

The committee also said that Rh Pilit, Kampung Kaong Ulu, Undop in Sri Aman had its EMCO extended for another eight days from yesterday until August 28.
